On July 22nd, we tragically lost our beautiful son Oliver to meningitis. At the age of 17, fit and healthy, no one could ever imagine such a cruel and devastating disease taking away the life of our son.
Oliver was gracious, enthusiastic, positive and polite to everyone who met him. He was so funny and always knew how to make us laugh but above all he was loving and caring without any judgement.
The impact oliver has left behind, will live on in our hearts but the pain of losing our son so suddenly to such a brutal disease will remain with us forever.
We have therefore, set up this tribute page in memory of Oliver to raise money for Meningitis Now, a charity who is at the forefront of supporting research that finds new, and enhances existing, vaccines to save lives and prevent disability. They provide specialist support to help rebuild lives and ensure no-one has to face meningitis alone. As well as creating awareness and education around this disease.
Help us to do what we can to prevent any other family losing a loved one to this disease and having to live through this heartache that we are now facing.
Thank you 🤍
This donation comes from your friends in West Lane, who kindly sponsored my swim. In addition, many neighbours have contributed direct.
This October swimmers from Fish 2 Water took part in a challenge to swim as far as they could. We all donated £5 and the winning team got to pick the charity. Our beautiful friend and swimmer Alex has shared your horrific story with us and many tears and we would like to donate our collections to you. Deepest sympathies 💔 and much love.
